Here we have a rare Benin bronze life-sized skull made sometime in the first half of the 20th century. The painstaking execution of this solid showstopper is something to behold. And I can't get enough of the drill holes along the edges of the skull, and especially at the temples. So, so gnarly. The missing teeth! I hope they never return.
Power to the Nth degree ready to be propped up with the custom stand of your choice.
The rare bronze sculpture came from the collection of a collector who accumulated rare African pieces while serving in the Peace Corps. He stayed a few decades after his time in the corps. The amazing folk art African skull was likely created sometime in the first half of the 20th century.
The skull measures about 9" tall, 5 1/2" wide and 7" deep. The antique wood skull is solid in every way. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
I ship FedEx to street addresses in the continental USA only (no PO Boxes please). Free shipping on the amazing skull.
