Antique Primitive Crucifix with Skull and Crossbones from 1800s

Here we have the oldest crucifix to ever come across my mortal hands. This rare antique cross is so old the Christ figure mold has sunk into the wood. It doesn't help that the relic is made of rounded wood, allowing for everything to morph and contort. And the skull skull and crossbones is the evil cherry on top. When you put everything together, its a powerful piece with an incredible look.

The antique relic comes out of an old collection used by priests and nuns. Can you imagine the exorcisms this one was a part of? Small, remote shacks in the middle of nowhere. Look at that patina. I think its solidly in the 1800s, maybe even late 1700s.

The crucifix measures about 8" tall, 4" wide and 3/4" deep. There is patina and wear everywhere. The Christ figure mold has a break at the right wrist. The wood has splits from the small nails. The wood extension where the left hand is nailed is a little loose. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
