Antique Photograph of Man Falling from Plane | 1918

Here we have a rare and unusual silver gelatin print photograph of a man falling from a plane. So yeah, let's start with that. I'm not sure if this is old trick photography or a "right time, right place" situation, but it's certainly the craziest photograph I've held in my hands. It's a belter, and it's all the business.

On the reverse it states the following in pencil:

"Miami, Florida - 1918
(Illegible) Photo - Now is turning hand spring on the grave/ground."

The rare antique photograph was acquired from a dealer near Stillwater, Minnesota. He obtained it out of an estate.

The framed antique photograph measures 10 1/2" tall by 8" wide. The actual photograph measures just over 8" x 6". The gelatin print is attached to the backing board with adhesive. There are some small losses on the left side of the photograph. Also, there are some wave going through the photo. None of it takes aways from the level of craziness in the image.
