Here we have a rare antique cast iron plate with the embossed statement "Brooklyn, New York, U.S.A." I'll give it to you straight. There are bruisers, then there are stud-breaking demolition pieces. This is the latter. All caps, embossed, and bold as bone breaker. All cast iron. You will need some heavy studs to hang this gem on. Check out the pics again.

Brooklyn Dodgers, Nets, Brooklyn Bridge, the Boroughs, Jay Z, Beastie Boys, Spike Lee, Wu Tang...the list goes on and on. So many different angles linked to a string of embossed cast iron letters. I love this thing.
The rare cast iron sign was found in a old estate near Chicago. Their guess was it came off of a bridge. I have my doubts but I'm not ruling it out. All I know it came off of something that was very large. It definitely appears to be early 1900s.
The rare antique embossed plate measures about 24" wide, 4" tall, and about 1" deep. As you can see, there is surface rust everywhere. Trust me, it didn't compromise this belter in the slightest. There also is a slight inward bend to the antique emblem. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
