Here we have a Tucson Arizona pennant from the 1930s with a killer graphic of a gent resting against a cactus in the desert. The blue and yellow pop every which way, but the graphic sends this one over Everest. The image is very detailed and the execution is wicked. He's definitely getting his energy back. And check out that sombrero. He's buried in it and can't be bothered. I love the font as well. They sure don't make like they used to.
The rare pennant comes out of an old estate in northern Wisconsin. The original owner collected pennants from all over. I was only able to grab one other jewel from the collection.
The Tucson pennant measures 26" wide and 8 1/2" tall along the left side. I believe the fabric is wool. There is patina everywhere. The left edging bled some blue into the yellow. The pennant has a few light vertical wrinkles. There is white scratch mark to the upper left of the "T" (see pic). And through it all, this baby pops like a balloon.
