Here we have an antique metal hanging sign for The Franklin Fire Insurance Company of Philadelphia. It just has a vibe and a wicked look. The old metal has seen it all, to the point where someone added some colorful accents to make sure the words still jumped out at potential buyers. And then the wear to over again in the following decades. Well, that process produced something special. It just grabbed me, and we have "FIRE" in capital letters. Ticks all the boxes in my book.
The rare antique metal sign comes out of and old estate in Iowa. I believe the sign was produced in the 1920s or 30s.
The antique fire sign measures 27 1/2" wide by 14 1/2" tall. The metal sign is very solid. As stated above, there is wear from age everywhere. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
