Regular price $100.00

Here we have a rare antique photograph of a Temperance promoter spreading the word about the sins of alcohol, straight from his rickety water wagon. I venture to say he didn't have the top of the line Temperance set-up. It looks like this dude fed the donkey whiskey mash all his poor life. And to think, he was the hair on that camel's back that ushered in Prohibition, to the delight of every gangster in America. Crazy history in this large photo, y'all.

The antique silver gelatin print came out of an estate near Clearwater, Wisconsin. On the reverse there is a graphite note stating "Anfin O. Sather", who was a citizen of Devil's Lake, North Dakota. Here's a link to his Find a Grave site:

I'm guessing the photograph was taken in the early 1900s. The rare photo may be even older.

The unframed photo print on board measures 16" tall and 20" wide. The actual silver gelatin print measures 11" tall and 14" wide. The photograph hasn't been framed for awhile, and it shows the age. There is wear throughout, including discolorations in the top right and bottom left corner. There are some tears on the lower left side. The top left corner has a black line scrapes. There is some curling as well. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.

I ship FedEx to street addresses in the continental USA only (no PO boxes). Free shipping the old Temperance photo.

You on the wagon or off the wagon? Oh you.
