Here we have a historical large photograph of the champion six horse team from the International Livestock Exposition which occurred in the 1920s.  It's a rare panoramic antique photograph of the real Clydesdales as demonstrated by the Chicago Union Stock Yard Company. The beasts mean business and they don’t care if you disagree. Love the dapper gents holding the reins with all their power. An unbelievable addition to any wall with a demonstration of 100 year old power.

Here’s more info about this image courtesy of a postcard created from this original image;

This team of six massive Clydesdale geldings, averaging over a ton each in weight, has won high honors at the International Live Stock Exposition in Chicago and other leading shows of the country. It is the property of the Union Stock Yard and Transit Company, which operates the Chicago Union Stock Yard, "the livestock market of the world." An average of two million dollars' worth of living property is sold and delivered on this "Great Central Market" every business day in the year. To get the most money for your livestock ship direct to Chicago.

This rare large photograph came of a serious agricultural antique collector in central Minnesota. The photograph was produced by the LiveStock Photo Co. There is a graphite marking stating “1898” below the signature but this is inaccurate. This was produced sometime in the 1920s.

The framed piece measures about 22 1/2" wide and just over 14 1/2" tall. There is a great provenance via a typed strip along the bottom. The photograph has some patina from age but it doesn't take away from the image. The frame is solid with a good amount of patina. The photograph as not been examined out of the frame. I'm not going to risk it and mess with it. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.

I ship FedEx to street addresses in the continental USA only (no PO Boxes please).  Free shipping on this amazing piece of Chicago and livestock history. .
