Here we have a fantastic and tranquil antique painting of a man fly fishing while surrounded by dark green vegetation and transcendent ray of light. I feel more at peace every time I look at it. The vision and execution of the artist is a gift for any room and viewer. When I first laid eyes on it I felt the radiation from across the room. And the light illuminating the deep, dark green of the vegetation feels like everything in the world is alright. What a scene.
The antique fly fishing painting comes out of an old estate in Chicago. The painting is signed “E.E. Wilkinson” and dated 1908 in the lower left hand corner. I haven’t matched a known artist so we’re dealing with a mystery artist. Doesn’t mean he/she isn’t out there
The unframed painting measures 23" x 19". The painting has surface wear throughout from all the decades. There are a few small losses but they don’t take away from the power of the outdoors artwork. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
