Here we have a cool and collected Expressionist oil painting of a profile close up of a stylish woman. This beauty cuts across colors, subjects, and dimensions. The thick paint creates a dichotomy of the woman’s face with the cutting background explodes in all the perfect ways. Although it’s a small artwork, I can't help seeing this peering over the room with a crazy vibe. Not your normal lane, and it’s hard to deny its power. It's wicked cool.
The Expressionist painting comes out of an art collector's estate in New York. The small painting is not signed so we’re dealing with a mystery artist. Based on the color of the reverse canvas and craquelure, I believe the painting was created in the 1950s or earlier.
The unframed oil on canvas measures 12" x 9". The painting has patina and craquelure from age throughout, including craquelure (see pics). There is a prominent vertical craquelure to the left of the nose. None of it takes away from the power of the artwork. The piece may have been cut down from a larger painting given the eyeball along the top stretch (see pic). Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
I ship FedEx to street addresses in the continental USA only (no PO Boxes). Free shipping on the Expressionist painting.
She’s exploding everywhere. It's all the business.
