Here we have a rare and unusual antique photograph of a football team trying to pose for the camera while drinking every kind of drink you can find. I mean, they even have a growler to fill their drinks back up. This, my friends, is the finest sports photograph I’ve ever owned, simply for the fact that I’ve never seen anything like it. A set up like this takes some time, and these dudes were dead set on messing with us over 100 years later. Such a rare and hilarious image from the early 1900s. An intoxicating and unforgettable scene.
The antique photograph comes out of a Twin Cities estate containing a large collection of rare and unusual photography from the early 1900s. This example is no exception. I wish there was documentation on the reverse….alas, they just have to live in infamy.
The antique photo and backing measure 6 1/2" tall by 8 1/2" wide. The piece has lived a life but the image still delivers. There is a small loss in the bottom left corner. It’s rougher around the edges and there is a cut along the mid-left. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
