1930s Industrial Machinist Lamp with Sandura Rugs Base

Regular price $175.00

Here we have an industrial machinist light from the early 1900s with a crazy handmade design. There was a mad scientist behind this scenes of this wild antique lamp. The ultimate combination of functionality and folk art. Way back in the day the machinist grabbed a metal base for “Sandura Rugs” and built this skyscraper up using heavily patinated parts from around the shop. That old machinist knew if you wanted a real anchor, this was it. It is solid and the look puts it so far over the edge. The metal stem is covered by a loose metal pipe with the coolest holes on each end, ready to string wire through it to create the ultimate effect. Seriously. The conversations will never end with this one. And that stiff bend at the neck…

The old folk art industrial lamp comes out of a very old machinist shop in Wisconsin. Who’s the artist? We’ll never know.

The lamp stands about 25" tall with a 5” diameter of the Sandura Rugs base. This bad boy has awesome patina everywhere. Scrapes, bruises, surface rust, all mixed with the perfect wear.  The lamp still has the original cloth cord. Although the lamp works fine, I recommend a new cord when you have a chance. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.

I ship FedEx to street addresses in the continental USA only (no PO Boxes). Free shipping on the one-of-a-kind machinist lamp.

Seriously. Look at the pictures again. This thing is a bonafide bad influence.
