Here we have a stunning graphite drawing of a modernist nude woman striking a dominating pose. This beauty was blazing my eyeballs as soon as I caught a glimpse. The sheer power of the pose, the firing hair, and the shading of the graphite lines is a bonafide four-alarm fire. I mean, the elbow alone. Vintage nude drawing are out there, but this unique gem is sitting right here. Her battle screams echo off the canyons of Women's Rights. All in a framed artwork from the 1940s.
The rare WPA era drawing comes out of a Twin Cities estate of an art collector. The piece is signed an dated '45' in the lower right corner. I can't read the artist name so we have a mystery artist on our hands.
The framed artwork measures 16" tall by 13" wide. The exposed graphite drawing measures 10 1/2" x 7 3/4". The professional framing is solid. The art paper has normal surface gradients. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
