Vintage Illustration of Frontiersman with Glare and Pipe | 1980s

Here we have an ink illustration of a frontiersman with a menacing look and corncob pipe. If he ain't an angry mess, he'll do til the mess gets here. He's peering into your to see if you have the heart of a lion. If not, get back in line. He'll light up any party, and blow away any piñata.

The vintage illustration came out of a collection for art from the 70s and 80s. This piece could be from either of the decades. I'm leaning towards the 80s. The drawing is signed "M.Davis" in the lower right corner. I haven't nailed down the full name of the artist. Right now we have a mystery artist on our hands.

The unusual ink illustration on artist board measures 15" tall and 9 1/2" wide. The artwork has some scuffs throughout the piece. There are some small red scrapes to the left of the gents head. There is also evidence of matting marks along the borders. Definitely in unframed vintage condition. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
