Here we have a powerful charcoal drawing of an African American man standing in retrospection. Not sure the exact details of the scene, but I'm sure it exudes a power that floors the rest of the competition. The shading and highlights of the mix for a wicked study of depth and intensity. You know it immediately when you see it. Yeah, that's what we're talking about here. My comments pale in comparison to the image, so just wander through the pics, repeatedly.
I'm guessing the African American artwork is from the 1970s, but it's only a guess. The rare piece comes out of an estate of a high end art collector from Stillwater, MN. I can't find a signature anywhere. The piece hasn't been viewed outside of the wrapping and backing. It's possible there's a signature on the reverse. Either way, we have a mystery artist on our hands.
The charcoal drawing measures about 24" tall by 18" wide. As stated above, there is a backing board with a plastic wrapping. There are a few small crinkles near the edges and corners. Nothing that takes away from the power of the piece. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
I ship FedEx to street addresses in the continental USA only (no PO boxes). Free shipping on the rare African American artwork.
