1970s Skier Ink on Newspaper Artwork | Minneapolis Street Art Style
Here we have a vintage street style ink stamp drawing on an old car ad section of a Minneapolis newspaper from the very early 1970s. Slicing, dicing and shredding amongst ads for vehicles we'd kill to have nowadays. Such a bizarre and cool way to show your love for the slopes. I'm assuming the artist was likely to spray snow in the faces of the snooty boots. Shred!
The vintage street folk art came out of a Twin Cities estate. As stated before, the piece was created in the very early 70s. On the reverse there's a framer's sticker stating "Doris Nielsen Studio", who was an art framer starting in the later 60s. The street art isn't signed so we're dealing with a mystery artist.
The framed artwork measures 15 1/2" tall by 13 1/4" wide. The framing and muzzling are original. There is slight patina given the age. The old newspaper shows it's age as well. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
