Vintage Sweater with Embroidered Hobo | Size 38 Medium

Here we have an unusual vintage sweater with an embroidered figure of a walking hobo, complete with an orange tie, knee patches, and clothing sack tied to a stick. I can't get over the big walking shoes coming right at you. The only thing that beats it is the huge white mustache. Bonus! The dude is a walkin' talkin' style machine.

The vintage sweater was found in Twin Cities area. The origins are a complete mystery to me. I'm guessing the unusual sweater is from the 1970s but it might be before then. There are no tags anywhere. It feels like it's wool, but maybe rayon? I'm open to any suggestions.

The Hobo sweater looks to be a size 38, or Medium. Here are the measurements.

- Armpit to armpit - 19"
- Collar to waist - 24 1/2"
- Sleeve length - 23"

The is a small discoloration near the shoulder seam on the back of the sweater. The sweater definitely has a storage smell to it. Maybe a sweeter version of mothballs? I recommend some Woolite but I'll let you decide. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
