Regular price $275.00

Here we have an antique folk art dog cane straight from the late 1800s underground. This solid bruiser features an exquisitely carved dog head and collar at the handles end. You gotta love the scene where you're strolling down a half lit cobblestone or backwoods rural road with this hound dog peaking out of your grip. I wish this watchdog could talk. Imagine what was witnessed through his wooden eyes over the last 130 years.

The rare walking stick comes out of a folk art collection in the Twin Cities area. I have seen a similar style come out of both the South and Northeast regions of the USA. Not sure the true origination of this carved beauty.

The folk art cane stands about 35 1/2" tall. The handle measures just over 5" long. The glaze on the unusual walking stick is all the rage. Perfect surface patina throughout. There is a small crack near the bottom lead ferrule (see pic). Please see all pics as they are part of the description.

I ship FedEx to street addresses in the continental USA only (no PO boxes). Free shipping on the rare folk art cane.

Like my Grandaddy used to say...This dog will hunt.
