Here we have a cool vintage woodcut print of a boy holding a lamb and striking a pose. It's a sweet scene, but I'll be honest, the black shadow cracks across his face the and the entire piece is all the business. Such a vibe. Outstanding.
The unsigned etching comes out of the estate of Dorothy Divers, who was heavy in the Twin Cities art work in the 50s and 60s. The original etching was likely created in the 1960s. I've looked everywhere and can't find another one. The are piece is titled "El Favorito" and illegibly signed and marked 10/50. The artist is a mystery to me.
The vintage artwork is made of very thin fragile paper, possibly rice paper. The full piece measures 17" tall and 9" wide. There are a few tape residue marks (see pics). Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
I ship FedEx to street addresses in the continental USA only (no PO Boxes please). The woodcut will be shipped in the original matting for protection. Free shipping on the rare artwork.
Love the black barbwire shadows. Very cool piece.
