Here we have a mysterious and original copper etching plate with a nude portrait on one side and an urban scene on the other, likely New York City. Let's start with the nude woman in a melancholy pose. I absolutely love it, especially through the fog of the copper patina gathered over 100 years. She's a mystery to me, and an absolute gem. And now the reverse...the seriously urban scene, centered by the El train zipping through the urban buildings. There may be a million etched lines on this side. You get double the fun with this old art remnant.

The rare artist plate came out of an art collection in the Twin Cities. The artist is a complete mystery to me. I don't see a signature anywhere. I was told the artist plate likely originated in the early 1900s, likely the 1920s.

The 1920s copper etching plate measures 8" tall by 6" wide. As stated above, there is patina from age everywhere. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.

I ship FedEx to street addresses in the continental USA only (no PO Boxes please). Free shipping on the rare urban artwork.
