Here we have a cool pyrography Folk Art piece from the turn of the century. He’s all strapped in and ready to burn out! The image is wicked. The detail of the Buick Touring Car is sick, and it’s ready for the start. It’s 1917, and you can smell burning rubber. Strap yourself in and feel the G’s. Then flip over the piece and see a serene landscape scene. Now you can breathe, but only for a moment.
The folk art pyrography comes out of an old estate in Wisconsin. It was made around 1917. The piece is initialed “B.H.” However, I haven’t figured out the artist so we’re dealing with a mystery artist.
The piece measures 10” wide and 8” tall. There is slight patina from 100 years of time. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
