The folk art walking stick likely dates from Missouri in the late 1800s. The cane is signed “M. Kropp” but I haven’t nailed down the full identity . The antique walking cane came out of a serious collection of antique and vintage canes containing many folk art examples.
The antique vice cane measures just under 34" tall. There is perfect light patina throughout from age. There is also heavy lacquer throughout the piece. The ferrule is missing. A rubber stopper will work but I suggest a brass beauty to top it off. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
I ship to the continental USA only. Free shipping on the rare antique vice cane.
Here's to the dreamers who put all their blood, sweat and tears into something that will stick around long after they're gone. She's a fine example, and a grade A, bonafide, dead on wicked piece of folk art celebrating the fullness of life.
