Here we have a unique and fascinating glimpse into the behind the scenes life of the PT Barnum traveling circus. As much as I love the performer doing a handstand on the other chap’s head, the scene of the traveling circus enjoying lunch may be my favorite. Definitely a cool moment frozen in time by the camera’s shutter. It was an impressive production back in the day, and this archive demonstrates it even further. A tremendous bygone era.
This collection comes out of an old collector’s estate in Chicago. The postcards were likely produced in the early 1900s, possibly in the teens or 20s.
The antique postcards measure about 5” x 3” each. The It's still very solid after all these years. A few of the postcards are more worn than others. All have slight patina from age. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
The archive will be sold as a set. I won’t break up the set.
I ship FedEX to street addresses in the continental USA only (no PO Boxes). Free shipping on the rare circus archive.
This needs to be in your collection. That is all.
