Here we have a rare folk art dedication cane focusing on the historical even of. Pearl Harbor. We have carvings and motifs galore in this beauty. It might have been created by a survivor of the attack, a veteran of World War II, or a civilian commemorating the event. Whomever it was, they wanted to cover all the bases and honor the importance of the event. Mission accomplished. They went all out as all great folk artists do. Their heart is showing everywhere. Planes, the Red Cross, stars, and hearts, you got it all. An amazing and historical piece. Not to mention the shell casing used as the cane ferrule.

The top of the WW2 era walking stick states the following:
Pearl Harbor Disaster Dec 7 1941

Here's some more information about Pearl Harbor courtesy of Wikipedia:
The attack on Pearl Harbor was a surprise military strike by the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service on the American naval base at Pearl Harbor in Honolulu, Hawaii, in the United States, just before 8:00 a.m. (local time) on Sunday, December 7, 1941. At the time, the United States was a neutral country in World War II. The attack on Hawaii and other U.S. territories led the United States to formally enter World War II on the side of the Allies the day following the attack, on December 8, 1941. The Japanese military leadership referred to the attack as the Hawaii Operation and Operation AI,and as Operation Z during its planning.

The rare WW2 Memorial walking stick came out of a collector's estate in the Twin Cities.

The World War cane measures 35 1/2" tall. There is patina throughout the cane. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.

I ship FedEx to street addresses in the continental USA only (no PO boxes). Free shipping for the Pearl Harbor walking stick.
