1950s Illustration Art of Shoe Shine Scene by Gale Hendrickson

Here we have an original illustration art painting by Minnesota artist Gale Hendrickson, showing an older gent paying a young kid for a shoe shine. The execution on this unique vintage painting is completely bananas. Such a cool scene from a simpler time. Just look at the excitement about the coin. And who can get past the old dude's style. Such a cool piece of Americana art.
The western art illustration comes out of a Twin Cities art collector's estate. Based on the Superior Illustration Board stamp, The painting is signed by the artist in the lower right. I believe the painting was executed in the late 40s or early 50s. I'm not sure if the piece was published but there are markings on the reverse indicating that it may have been submitted.
The painting on artist board measures 26" tall by 22" wide. The board does not lay perfectly flat because of slight warping but I think the painting can be easily framed and light up a room. There is some slight surface wear throughout. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
