Vintage Danger Caustic Sign from 1950s | Factory Industrial Decor

Here we have a vintage metal Danger Caustic sign from the 1950s, straight out of a factory somewhere in Ohio. It's a dangerous world out there, especially you're dealing with caustic chemicals or caustic people. This bad boy is oozing with authenticity, and the reality of the brutal elements are evident. You can tell the original sign was fried, then they painted over the outlines with black and red paint....and then did it again....and again...and...you get the picture. This repeating phenomenon has resulted in one of the coolest and demented sign I've come across. Hopefully the workers weren't fried as much as this wicked sign.

And here are the two definitions for "Caustic":

1. Able to burn or corrode organic tissue by chemical action.

2. sarcastic in a scathing and bitter way.

Two birds!

The rare danger sign came from a picker who acquired it along his travels through Ohio. I was told it was likely used in the 1940s or 50s.

The unusual sign measures 10" tall by 14" wide. As stated above, there is patina and corrosion everywhere, both front and back. The metal is warped on the bottom right (see pic), so it doesn't lay flat (see pics). However, the way it hangs in the shop always gets a comment. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.

I ship FedEx to street addresses in the continental USA only (no PO boxes). Free shipping on the rare industrial factory sign.

Badness to the everlovin' bone. And now it's folk art. Deal with it.
