Scuba Diver Bronze Sculpture | 1973 Signed by Mystery Artist
ere we have a bronze sculpture of a torpedo scuba diver launching off a reef. The diver is fully ready for whatever attacks loom. Check out the knife along the right calf. Then you have two, count them two, deep sea watches on the left wrist. Even with all that detail, it's the presence of the rare bronze that does the trick. It's a powerhouse you can spot across the room. He towers over all and is headed for the moon. The pictures do not do it justice. The execution and patina will magnetize the room.
The unusual bronze sculpture came out of a Twin Cities collection of fine bronzes. The piece is signed Yumd? and dated 1973 on the base. We have a mystery artist on our hands.
