Brutalist Art Pottery Sculpture from Machinist Shop | 1960s?

Here we have a slick brutalist art pottery piece found in an old machinist shop in Illinois. The red and black blazing beauty was one of multiple folk art pieces adorning a shelf above the metal and grime of a hard days work. It is still unknown weather the abstract modernist ceramics were created by the machinist (likely), or was a part of his lean and mean decor. Either way, this is what folk art is all about. I can't get over the color tones of the glaze.

I have no idea on the age. My guess is the 1960s but this is only a guess. The machinist is now pounding metal in the great gig in the sky, so the mystery endures.

The industrial ceramic art stands 4 1/2" tall with a 3" diameter. There is perfect patina throughout. I can't find any chips. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.

I ship FedEx to street addresses in the continental USA only. Free shipping on the rare modernist art.

Line up as many boxes as you want. This brutal beauty checks them all.
