Rare Duluth Marathon Poster from 1982 | Limited Edition Signed

Here we have a rare lithograph poster from the infamous Grandma's Marathon in Duluth, Minnesota. This is a race that requires pugilists with muttonchops to run short distances to punch people. Ok, I'm joking. But I'll admit, the image of this beauty sets the party to another volume. Then you throw in the rarity, the limited edition, and the artist signature. Well, you know someone will be calling the cops soon enough.

Speaking of the rarity, I've never seen the 1982 poster available for sale. I can see why. I mean, the pugilists. They're very charming and have fine form for running 20 yards.

The rare lithograph poster is dated 6/11/82, numbered 160/490, and signed "G.P. Perry", all in the graphite along the bottom. Imagine this bruiser framed in the black frame and screaming from your wall. Puts a smile on my face.

Here's the official webpage for the marathon.

And the history of the race.

Here's the intro from the marathon's Wikipedia page.

Grandma's Marathon is an annual road race held each June in Duluth, Minnesota, in the United States. The course runs point-to-point from the city of Two Harbors on Scenic Route 61 and continues along Lake Superior into the city of Duluth. The finish is located in Canal Park, near Grandma's Restaurant, which is next to the highly visible Aerial Lift Bridge.

The rare marathon poster measures 27 1/2" tall and 20" wide. The print is covered in plastic and backed by cardboard. There are a few waves in the poster, especially near the edges. The bottom right corner has a couple impact creases. There are a couple horizontal creases near the middle. None of it takes away from the power of the rare Minnesota poster. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.

I ship FedEx to street addresses in the continental USA only. Free shipping on the rare poster, and free delivery in the Twin Cities area.
