Rare 1939 World's Fair Photograph of Newsboy by Harvey O. Carpenter

Here we have a rare photograph of a shouting newsboy exhibited at the 1939 World's Fair. I mean when you think of a newsboy from the Depression Era, look no further. This is straight out of the Coen Brothers classic film "Miller's Crossing." What a killer shot capturing the moment right before he whips the newspaper at you. And this newsboy happens to be holding a copy of the St Paul Dispatch newspaper, which later merged with the Pioneer Press.

The rare exhibit photograph is titled "Herald of Disaster" (lower left) and signed by the photograph Harvey O. Carpenter (lower right). On the reverse you have an official sticker stating "Exhibited at Kodak Building - New York World's Fair 1939." There's also a sticker for the Camera Arts Club in Saint Paul.

The entire piece measures about 20" tall by 16" wide. The silver gelatin print is over 10" tall by 13" wide on its own. There is some discoloration spots on the matting. There is slight wear throughout. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.

I ship FedEx to street addresses in the continental USA only (no PO boxes). Free shipping on this rare piece of World's Fair history.

Imagine this killer photo framed in your Haberdashery. loft or old timey man cave. Do it. Imagine it.
