Cryptic Abstract Expressionist Artwork | 1971 "D. Kittell"

Here we have a mysterious abstract expressionist artwork from 1971; You know how you walk by a house and you can't help but think "that joint is haunted." When I first laid eyes on this murky backdrop with cryptic symbols I knew this was something special. I was able to walk away from it once, but by the second time, the hooks were in deep. The dichotomy of the repeating black characters against the foggy background harkens to the stoic plateaus at dusk. Full of danger and ominous warnings.

The artwork comes out of a very high-end collection of abstract art in the Twin Cities. Word around the campfire is this artwork was significant. The problem is I can't nail down the artist. The piece is signed "D. Kittell" in a horizontally cryptic way in the bottom right corner. Just to the left is a small horizontal signature with a date "1971." Any info is greatly appreciated.

The framed abstract expressionist art measures 24" wide by 18" tall. The exposed artwork measures 16 1/2" by 10 1/2". The framing is solid. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.

I ship FedEx to street addresses in the continental USA only (no PO boxes). Free shipping on the haunting abstract art.

Watch out for the hooks. They go deep before you know it.
