Antique Bellemont Bowler Hat | Early 1900s Gangster

Here we have a rare antique bowler hat by The Bellemont Hat company. This old felt black beauty has a ton of wear and whole lotta attitude. Seriously, I'm sure the fella who wore this bruiser was lean, mean, and an intimidating machine. The multiple tears in the felt say everything that needs to be said about this old time bruiser. Then you have the killer wear along the edge of the curling brim. This is decades of attitude only found in the the authentic old examples

The crown of the hat measures around 20", so I believe that puts it in the size 6 3/4 arena. About the brim...it rocks. It measures 2". This one is worn by the boss, not the minions. Step aside and make way.

The hat was found in rural Minnesota. Based on the scant info about the Bellemont Hat company, it was likely produced in the very early 1900s.

The hat measures about 12" from front to back, and just over 9" wide. The hat stands about 5 1/2 tall. This one was used, and shows evidence of such. As stated above, there are slices in the felt in several areas. The inside is solid but very worn. It's been to the depths and back. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.

I ship FedEx to street addresses in the continental USA only (no PO boxes). Free shipping on the rare old bowler.

I'll just say this. I wish my head wasn't so big. This one is the boss's boss.
