Here we have a set of very rare set of military patches for a WW1 aerial photographer, also known as a "Flying Photographer." Everything is better with wings, right? This may be one of the coolest and most bizarre military patches this side of the Mississippi. And these babies will cover some real estate on your old bomber jacket. I can't get enough of the design. It's so unusual, awkward, and absolutely perfect.

And here's the kicker. I've looked far and wide and I can't find another one of these beauties. The pair of military collectibles comes out an antique dealer's estate in St. Paul. It's unclear where he acquired them. I'm thinking these were created before WW2...my guess is the 1920s. They may be earlier.

Here are a few links describing aerial photography in World War 1, here and here

The rare military photography patches measure 8" wide and 5 3/4" tall for the smaller one, and almost 9" wide and 6" tall for the larger one. The smaller one has some foxing spots but there condition is quite good overall. The larger patch is experiencing some losses in the white material, with a few foxing areas. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.

I ship FedEx to street addresses in the continental USA only (no PO boxes). Free shipping on the rare aerial photography patches.

Everything's better with wings. Bad to the bone.
