Vintage Shop Task Lamp with Unusual Handmade Design | 1940s

Here we have a strange handmade task lamp from deep in Minnesota farmland. All the awe and horror of Frankenstein is found in this rare folk art beauty. The monster rises and dominates. The horror! When you start with a base of an old farm iron, you're only headed for greatness. This old industrial light had a purpose of functionality only, yet it turned into the ultimate statement piece for your loft, shop, or movie set. Mean, lean, and mean again.

As previously stated, the old task lamp was found on an really old farm in rural Minnesota. My guess is the lamp was made in the 1940s.

The old Frankenstein light stands about 17 1/2" tall, and the wild arms take up diameter space of about 10". As you can see, everything about this antique lamp is handmade. The lamp does work. The wiring is completely original, and I say this with excitement and caution. That old timer did a funky job with a lot of imagination. As with any original wiring situation, please perform your own inspection and proceed as you see fit. There is years of patina everywhere. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.
