1970s Sketchbook of MCM Chair Designs & Architectural Renderings

Here we have a rare and unusual Strathmore sketchbook from the 1970s Chicago art and architectural world. You have a cool variety of design images to page through and possibly frame, ranging from watercolors to graphite. The best way to handle this portfolio is to get going with the list of pages:

1. Harter DRS-10 Seating (Stackable)
2. Harter Koe - 10 Seating
3. Thonet Lounge Chair
4. Thonet 1888
5. Thonet 4812 Side Chair
6. Thonet 4704 Wassily Chair
7. Cool Black Chair without Notes (2 pages with watercolor and one graphite sketch)
8. Six pages of unmarked chair design pages

The next section contains architectural renderings for a pottery museum or installation. It starts with the following intro:

- History of Wheel Pottery
- Follow History From Ancient to Modern
- Two Exhibit Potters - Ancient & Modern
- Allow for Many Example Pieces

The rendering pages are marked 1 - 8, with page 2 missing. I love the renderings of the people. Oval faces with X's. There are a few additional sketches of the installation in graphite.

The sketchbook came out of a Chicago artist estate. Based on the Strathmore 400 cover, the sketchbook was likely used in the 1970s. I can't artist any indication of the artist. We have a mystery artist on our hands.

The rare vintage sketchbook measures 14" tall and 11" wide. It shows evidence of age and use. A few of the page corners are curling. About half of the sketchbook pages are unused. Please see all pics as they are part of the description.

I ship FedEx to street addresses in the continental USA only (no PO boxes). Free shipping on the rare 1970s sketchbook.
