Here we have an early Navajo turquoise biker ring with an unusual snakeskin design on the band. Nothing subtle about this outsider masterpiece of jewelry. The dude or dudette who wore this beauty could say million things with their stare. Language straight from the underground, y'all. The stones show all the color and age you can ask for. Now about those sides....that's some sort of slithering beast, scouts honor. Beauty amidst the badness.
The rare turquoise ring comes out of a Twin Cities estate containing numerous items from the early 1900s, mostly 1920s. I'm listing this ring as from the 1930s but my guess is it's earlier given the source, wicked patina, and a ring expert describing it as "old." I was told it's sterling silver. I can't find a maker's mark, which is typical of the earlier Old Pawn jewelry.
